3 priority science questions that need to be answered:
1) better describing and (if possible) quantifying deep sea ecosystem services; 2) improved deep-sea biogeography that highlights the diversity of life down there; 3) quantifying the patchiness of deep-sea habitats so that EIAs can beter determin how much disturbance would degrade connectivity amongst these habitat patches.
